🏳️⚧️Join Lady Dane & J Mase in Finding the Divine Trans (Continued), a writing workshop for Trans, Non-Binary &/or Gender Expansive Gardeners about discovering our Trans stories of divinity, creation and calling ourselves into existence! Come whether you are an experienced writer or novice. Expect to come out of this session with 2-3 new poems. 📔Quiet-ish Reading Club / Connect (QRC) 💜💛📚 Tuesdays starting @ 6:00pm PT . QRC - Garden Edition is where we chill together in mostly quiet company. Bring your own: book, audiobook, article, magazine, comic book, training manuals, graphic novel, paperwork/forms, poetry, etc. anything you’d like to or need to read. Most of the time will be us practicing sustained silent reading (SSR) in cozy, quiet company together. We will take occasional breaks to chat and socialize - mics optional. We'll be planning for two 45 min reading blocks with 15 min breaks / connect check-in time in-between.

🫂 The next session of Chronic Illness and Long Covid Support Group will be next Thursday March 13th from 5:30pm-7:30pm PST with Chanelle! Navigating everything that comes with chronic illness can be difficult - from managing symptoms to experiencing grief over missing your pre-illness life. This is a peer support space where we can share our feelings about living with any chronic/long-term illness, including long COVID, during an ongoing pandemic. 💻 Do you work from home and sometimes feel a little too isolated from others? Come Co-Work with us in Garden! We are a 24/7 drop in space for folks to join to co-work silently, listen to music, play a game or chat amongst each other in the chat box.
🌍Creative Catalyst Fellowship from the AAPI Civic Engagement Fund is due March 6, 2025. This fellowship provides opportunities for independent artists to engage the public in critical issues impacting Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) across the country. They consider a variety of art forms, such as music, video, visual arts, performing arts, poetry, and more. Up to eight artists will receive $30,000 contracts to produce work with the potential to break through mainstream media and catalyze conversations around the following three themes: In it Together, Belonging, and Voting Together. Eligibility Info: International artists may apply, but keep in mind that the project must align with one of the three themes.
🌈The National Trans & Queer Therapists of Color Network (nqttcn) is opening applications for their Mental Health Fund (MHF) for Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Color (QTBIPOC) on March 17th. MHF provides crucial financial support to Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Color to increase access to mental health and healing support.
💖Bayard Rustin Residency at Penington Friends House is open for applications until March 15, 2025. This residency is envisioned as an ongoing ladder to empowerment for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) working to end systemic racism and to create a culture of anti-Racism and intersectional equality in the U.S. The residency provides up to one year of room and board to a person who demonstrates a strong project that addresses ending systemic racism and who has a necessity to be in New York City for up to one year.
🖼️Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation 2025 Grant for Sculpture is open for applications until May 31, 2025. The grant program encourages and supports sculptors, whether emerging or established, and writers about sculpture. In 2025 the Foundation will award a $20,000 grant to a sculptor who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to sculpture and an imaginative engagement with its materials, histories and situation.
