What: Gata (she/they) will be hosting a tax workshop here in Garden (this will include Q&A time).
When: Friday, February 9th at 3pm - 5pm PST
About Gata: Gata is a Queer Angry Afro Caribeña Femme who has been filing taxes and helping others file taxes for the past 15 years.
Details: Her workshop is mainly tailored to self employed/gig workers and folks who either just started a small business or are thinking of starting a business. Even if you are an employee (meaning you get issued a W2 every year), you can still benefit from this workshop.
The goal of the workshop is for folks to have better understanding of Federal taxes. Gata hopes that by the end of the workshop you will feel comfortable enough to try to file your own taxes, or be able to check your documents (before you sign off) if someone else files for you.
Gata does not share her slides for her workshop, but she offers her tax webinars monthly. She will post the details for her next webinar in the info area on her desk. If you have any questions about taxes, please feel free to reach out to her at bureaucraticbaddie@gmail.com so she can incorporate them into her presentation.
