If you are a COVID-safer artist who is seeking a safe and supportive space to create art and rest, check out the Quarantine Residency with CallingUpJustice. Artists can stay in the Bay Area for up to two weeks with their room and board costs covered for free. Our Garden Scribe, Gata just got back from attending the residency last week. As you all know, for safety purposes, we carefully vet folks who enter Garden. As our little community has grown and developed, we are at a place where we wanted to officially announce that we will be offering Day Passes for special events here in Garden. If you would like to invite friends who also take pandemic precautions and identify as BIPOC, you may request a Day Pass for them to check out a special event where Day Passes are listed in the description. This will also continue to apply for birthday celebrations. You may request a pass by emailing us, and Day Passes will be emailed the day of the event.

🏳️⚧️Join Lady Dane & J Mase in Finding the Divine Trans (Continued), a writing workshop for Trans, Non-Binary &/or Gender Expansive Gardeners about discovering our Trans stories of divinity, creation and calling ourselves into existence! Come Tuesday March 18th at 5pm PST, whether you are an experienced writer or novice. Expect to come out of this session with 2-3 new poems. We'll share more stories of Trans Divinity and give space for your radical imagination of Trans Liberation to be expanded. Make sure to RSVP!

This will be a 2 hour segment in which Gardeners gather to choose a number between 1-3,000 from the book of the same title. Don't want to answer the question you got? No problem! 📔Quiet-ish Reading Club / Connect (QRC) 💜💛📚 Tuesdays starting @ 6:00pm PT . QRC - Garden Edition is where we chill together in mostly quiet company. Bring your own: book, audiobook, article, magazine, comic book, training manuals, graphic novel, paperwork/forms, poetry, etc. anything you’d like to or need to read. Most of the time will be us practicing sustained silent reading (SSR) in cozy, quiet company together. We will take occasional breaks to chat and socialize - mics optional. We'll be planning for two 45 min reading blocks with 15 min breaks / connect check-in time in-between.

🫂 The next session of Chronic Illness and Long Covid Support Group will be next Thursday March 13th from 5:30pm-7:30pm PST with Chanelle! Navigating everything that comes with chronic illness can be difficult - from managing symptoms to experiencing grief over missing your pre-illness life. This is a peer support space where we can share our feelings about living with any chronic/long-term illness, including long COVID, during an ongoing pandemic. 🪷 Stretch it out as Caroline leads us in another weekly afternoon Yoga sesh this Friday at 2:15pm PST by streaming a yoga video from YouTube and following along. ✊🏾The Be.Q.T. Fellowship is an 8-week through the Black Trans Youth Rising Collective (April-May, 2025), a funded, and paid fellowship/cohort program opportunity (approx. $1,200) for young Black, queer/trans people ages 15-25. It is an 8-week container for youth to: Creatively engage their personal-political // stories // Build and refine their praxis // Create art and/or political campaigns. Deadline to complete application form: Pi Day, March 14th.
📞Trans Lifeline is seeking a full time (4 day/32 hrs a week/$63,000) remote Staff Hotline Operator. The Hotline team provides support to trans people across the United States who are in crisis, seeking resources, or simply need a peer to chat with. Application window opens for self-tape and resume submissions on Wednesday, March 12th at 10am Pacific/noon CT/1pm EST. This window closes Friday, March 14th by 5pm Pacific or whenever 100 applications are received (whichever is first). Intended start date for this position is April 14th.
🌍The Awesome Foundation's March applications are open from the 1st until the 10th! The Disability Chapter is a global chapter which awards $1000 each month to a different disability focused project.
